Electronic Signature Tablets for Government and Public Sector Counters

Government service halls verify identity and capture consent at high volume: applications, permits, certificates and declarations. The DS1030 and DS1031 pair signature capture with camera, fingerprint and ID card reader options from the official data, letting one counter device handle both verification and signing without invented compliance claims.

The Service Hall Counter

Verify, then sign, at one position.

A government service counter typically runs a two-step interaction: first establish who the citizen is, then capture what the citizen agrees to. Traditionally that meant a document check at one window and a paper signature at another, or a single window juggling a scanner, a camera and a paper form. The DS1030 compresses the hardware side of that interaction: a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS signing terminal with a 5MP portrait camera with optional video shoot, a 5MP document camera, an optional fingerprint scanner and an optional security-guaranteed ID card reader, all in the official product data for one model.

The DS1031 covers the lighter configuration with a 2MP camera for facial photo shoot and an optional 192 x 192 fingerprint sensor, for service points that need face and fingerprint without the document camera and card reader. Both models run 512 to 4096 user-defined pressure levels at 233PPS with 5080LPI pen resolution, so the signature itself carries the same biometric pressure data as the rest of the DS line. Fingerprint-capable models across all bands are compared in the fingerprint guide.

This page describes only the options present in the official product data. It does not claim certifications, approvals or compliance status for any model: where a deployment requires specific certifications, availability is confirmed during quotation, and certificates are available upon request. The table above shows options as listed; unlisted cells are not implied features.

Fitting the Service Hall Estate

USB-A terminals, one platform.

Service hall terminals are overwhelmingly standard PCs, which is why the identity-capable models connect over USB-A: the DS1030 and DS1031 drop into the existing estate without adapters. The 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS panel presents application forms legibly, and the 85/85/85/85 viewing angle keeps the screen readable for the citizen standing at the counter side.

For halls that also run plain signing positions without verification, the DS1020 with its customizable SDK embeds into the service application, and the DS101S adds macOS support for mixed estates. Because all models share the 233PPS, 5080LPI battery-free EMR platform, the hall standardizes on one integration while placing verification hardware only where the workflow requires it. Band detail is on the 10-inch page, and connector planning on the interface guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which DS model is built for identity verification at the counter?

The DS1030: dual 5MP cameras, optional fingerprint scanner and optional security-guaranteed ID card reader in the official data. The DS1031 covers face plus fingerprint in a lighter configuration.

Do you claim government certifications for these models?

No. This page lists only the options in the official product data and makes no certification or compliance claims. Certificates are available upon request and specific requirements are confirmed during quotation.

Can the camera modules be ordered separately from fingerprint?

Camera, fingerprint and ID reader are factory options on the models that list them. The option combination for your deployment is confirmed during quotation.

Which interface do the verification models use?

USB-A on both the DS1030 and DS1031, fitting standard service hall PCs. OS support is Windows 7 or later.

Can verification and plain signing counters share one application?

Yes. All DS models share the 233PPS, 5080LPI battery-free EMR platform, so one application serves verification and plain counters together.

All specifications on this site are taken from the official product data of the corresponding Huion model. Where a model lists an optional module, availability of that option is confirmed during quotation. Certificates available upon request.
