Every DS model captures pen movement at 233PPS with 5080LPI pen resolution, and every pen is battery-free electromagnetic resonance: no charging, no batteries, no downtime at the counter. Sensing height is 10 mm across the line. The 10.1-inch band holds center accuracy of plus or minus 0.5 mm with plus or minus 3 mm at the corner on four models and plus or minus 2 mm at the corner on the DS1040.
Display technology is IPS on the DS510, DS510S, DS101S, DS1020, DS1030, DS1031 and DS1040; TFT on the DS530 and DS530S; and IPS/CTP on the DS1610 and DS1640. Contrast is 800:1 on the 5-inch and 10.1-inch bands and 1000:1 on the 15.6-inch band. Panel brightness reaches 500 cd/m2 on the DS510 and DS510S and 400 cd/m2 on the DS530 and DS530S, keeping signatures readable under counter lighting.
